Frequently Asked Questions
Simple answers to top questions about creating photos online.
Q.What are the official photo requirements for a Saudi Arabia passport (Absher / Jawazat)?
According to the General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) and Ministry of Interior standards, Saudi passport photos must be 40 × 60 mm (480 × 640 pixels at 300 DPI) on a solid white background, taken within the last 6 months with 70% to 80% face coverage. Saudi men must wear national dress (thawb and shemagh/ghutrah); women must wear a hijab with the entire face unobstructed. Eyeglasses are prohibited.
Q.Are eyeglasses or filters permitted in Saudi passport photos?
Eyeglasses, sunglasses, and colored contact lenses are not permitted because reflections and frame shadows interfere with biometric passport verification. The photo must be unaltered without retouching or filters.
